AutoReels ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website www.autoreels.co and the AutoReels platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By accessing or using AutoReels, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials. We use Supabase Authentication to manage accounts securely.

2.2 Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details on our servers. Stripe handles payment processing in compliance with PCI DSS standards. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to manage your billing.

2.3 Content You Create

We store the video series configurations you create, including niches, prompts, art style preferences, voice selections, and generated content (scripts, images, audio, and videos). This data is necessary to provide the Service.

2.4 Third-Party Platform Data

When you connect social media accounts, we collect and store the following information from each platform:

TikTok

  • Data collected: Access token, refresh token, token expiry, Open ID (your TikTok user identifier)
  • Scopes requested: user.info.basic, video.upload, video.publish
  • Purpose: To upload and publish videos to your TikTok account on your behalf
  • Data use: We use your TikTok access token solely to post videos you have created and approved through AutoReels. We query your creator info (username, privacy settings) to ensure posts comply with your account's allowed privacy levels.
  • Retention: Tokens are stored until you disconnect your TikTok account, at which point they are deleted and revoked

Instagram (via Facebook/Meta)

  • Data collected: Access token (long-lived), Instagram Business Account ID, token expiry
  • Scopes requested: instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish, pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement
  • Purpose: To publish Reels to your Instagram Business or Creator account
  • Data use: We use your Instagram access token solely to publish video content (Reels) that you have created and approved. We access your Instagram Business Account ID to identify the correct account for publishing.
  • Retention: Tokens are stored until you disconnect your Instagram account, at which point they are deleted

YouTube (via Google)

  • Data collected: Access token, refresh token, token expiry
  • Scopes requested: youtube.upload, youtube.readonly
  • Purpose: To upload Shorts to your YouTube channel
  • Data use: We use your YouTube credentials solely to upload video content (Shorts) that you have created and approved through AutoReels. We do not access, modify, or delete any existing content on your YouTube channel.
  • Retention: Tokens are stored until you disconnect your YouTube account, at which point they are deleted

2.5 Usage Data

We may collect information about how you access and use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the time and date of your visits. This data helps us improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Generate AI-powered video content (scripts, images, voiceovers, and rendered videos) based on your configurations
  • Post videos to your connected social media accounts on your behalf, only when you initiate or schedule a post
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send service-related notifications (e.g., billing updates, posting confirmations)
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. AI-Generated Content

AutoReels uses artificial intelligence to generate video content, including:

  • Scripts: Generated by Anthropic Claude based on your selected niche and custom prompts
  • Images: Generated by Replicate (Flux Schnell model) based on AI-created visual prompts
  • Voiceovers: Generated by ElevenLabs text-to-speech with your selected voice
  • Videos: Rendered by Remotion combining the above assets

Your custom prompts and niche selections are sent to these AI providers to generate content. We do not share your personal account information with these providers. Content generated through our Service may be labeled as AI-generated in accordance with platform policies.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic, Replicate, ElevenLabs (AI content generation), AWS (video rendering), and Trigger.dev (background task processing) — each only receiving the minimum data needed to perform their function
  • Social media platforms: TikTok, Instagram (Meta/Facebook), and YouTube (Google) — only the video content and captions you choose to post, transmitted using your authorized access tokens
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. Access tokens for third-party platforms are stored in our database with row-level security ensuring only you can access your own data.

Video assets (images, audio, and rendered videos) are stored in Supabase Storage, organized per video and accessible only through authenticated requests.

7. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time.
  • Generated content: Scripts, images, and audio are deleted from our systems when you delete your account. Rendered video files stored on third-party cloud infrastructure (AWS) may take up to 30 days to be fully purged due to cloud provider retention policies.
  • Platform tokens: Stored until you disconnect the platform or delete your account. Upon disconnection, tokens are revoked with the platform (where supported) and deleted from our database.
  • Payment data: Billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Disconnect: Disconnect any linked social media account at any time from your dashboard, which revokes our access and deletes stored tokens
  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our authentication system uses secure, HTTP-only cookies to maintain your login session.

10. Children's Privacy

AutoReels is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and European Union countries, where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Third-Party Links

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

14. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure

AutoReels' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use YouTube API data to upload Shorts on your behalf and do not use it for any other purpose, including advertising or selling data.

15. Meta Platform — Data Use Disclosure

AutoReels' use of data received from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) APIs complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We access Instagram data solely for the purpose of publishing Reels to your authorized account. We do not store, share, or use Meta platform data for any purpose other than providing the Service.

16. TikTok — Data Use Disclosure

AutoReels' use of data received from TikTok APIs complies with the TikTok API Terms of Service. We use TikTok data solely to publish video content on your behalf. We do not access your TikTok followers, messages, or viewing history. Videos posted through AutoReels are AI-generated content, which is disclosed in accordance with TikTok's content guidelines.
